| I think if we can get half of what St Paul's has achieved we will be doing well: a space that combines old and new, inside and out that is useful, as well as being elegant; practical as well as stylish. It's also quite 'neutral' in that even if you absolutely hate modern churches on principle, there's nothing objectionable about it. The spaces inside are designed to work with the users rather than against, and that's a rarity. Plus it's multifunctional with the way the church can be opened up to give a whole different feel. |
