I wonder if they have paid any attention to the problems of extreme heat experienced by many people living in new build flats. Smaller. No cinema. Not even the promise of a dedicated theatre space. Just ‘multi-purpose use’, whatever that means, and hardly like-for-like. Mind, if it’s run by the same lacklustre and clueless bunch who ran the old centre into the ground it won’t take long for it to be converted into either retail space (coffee shop anyone?) or more unaffordable flats.
