| Dare I mention it? Church Street - councillors were told at the IBAF meeting when that decision was made that the public consultation did not concur with the recommendation to close the road, and they were told by how much - an overwhelming majority against. Members though decided that in their wisdom they knew best what was good for local people rather than those people did. I believe in that instance - and it is only me speculating - that officers were told what members wanted and to come up with a report that supported that. What really got me that evening was that idiot Curran comparing the decision to Brexit! Problem being that the majority carried the day on that issue - God forbid that it should in Isleworth & Brentford. |
