| Inappropriate to comment as a councillor on whether a licence should be granted but I agree generally with Paul's Claire's and Raymond's comments. Special mention for Paul's last sentence: nobody would argue that Albany Road is heaven but it's very far indeed from the vision of Hell that Jacob conjures and Brook Road South and the roads off it are a delight. I wonder why Jacob stays in Brentford. I moved here from Chiswick about 8 years ago and I have no desire to live anywhere else. Nice people, nice pubs (Griffin, Express, Magpie personal favourites but so many good places to choose from) and a growing selection of restaurants - all independent so far bar Macdonalds and Greggs. We just need a more vibrant town centre and better connections to the waterside, and those are coming soon. |
