It would be good to see a nice building brought back to life and to become a driver for improving the area. Brentford is undergoing lots of changes at the moment so a reopening of the Albany Arms is an opportunity to be part and integral to that change. The community like the area is mix of the old and new, so a one size fits all approach may not be the right solution, better to create a niche not already occupied by the current offerings. A good example of one that got it right is the recently renovated Express Tavern on Kew Bridge. It attracts all ages including customers from its previous incarnation by offering good ales, good food, a convivial atmosphere and a great outdoor space. It may be worth contacting the Brentford Chamber of Commerce and the Brentford High Street Steering Group to get their views. Good luck with your venture and I hope you become a key member of the community.
