| You're dead right Vanessa, it is about profit, they're a private company and that's what they are there to do. It's up to the Council to make sure that when these contracts are issued they are watertight and that the companies that contract to the council do the job that they're meant to do at the agreed price or pay a penalty for being in breach. If the service is cut it's either because the council have agreed to it or because the contract that was issued allows for it, either way the blame must be laid at the door of the local authority. Don't blame the system, blame the "public servants" who allow the abuse to happen. |
