I'm sorry but if your contempt for people by describing them as 'scum' and 'pond life' is a reflection of the views of Ann Keen (as everything else you state seems to be sourced from her) then you are are doing the Labour movement a huge disservice. This is the very kind of attitude that is driving people away from Labour. Socialism does not mean Stalinism and nor should it become corrupt and consumed. The lessons from which are there to be heeded. Venting opinion and feeling in a crucial election is very much part of this country's system and as long as it is not rude or defamatory, a key part of free society debate. People are not scum or Pond life just because they do not vote Labour but are concerned enough to stand up and question things. Mrs Keens sudden 'keeness' for all things ethnic is cynical and desperate act to get votes and running away from dealing with issues that I and many other local Labour voters want dealt with and brought to closure is just becoming a conduit for all the questions being asked and not addressed. |
