I am a life long (clearly a very long life, as a crazed old woman) labour voter and I am not ashamed as you suggest I should be. I am angry as were many other people, regardless of their political affiliations, that our MP did not turn up to address a hustings in a very marginal set in probably the most important general election in modern history. Very poor! Very poor indeed. Her no show was actually due (according to her office this morning) to her agents decision to give her attendance at a Muslim Community meeting in Hounslow priority over attending the hustings. He attended in her stead. He did not explain where she was; merely that her was here and she was not. Just not good enough. Where would you and your well mannered friends suggest people express their feelings about such situations? |
