Most houses of the type in Braemar Road predate internal stop cocks as running water was a single lead pipe and service nothing more than a sink. No Bathrooms or en suites then. Only those heavily renovated may have an internal stop cock but shared outer ones are now less common but outside stop cracks just inside or outside the boundary are still very common, especially in the older parts of Brentford. Good luck but don't let them walk all over you. |
