Afraid I do too. Having been to some of the locations where this happens the waste of unclaimed and uneaten meals is rather saddening. So is it more to do with what the kids are eating and want rather than what they should be eating and don't want? Having grown up in a household where parents went without to keep a roof over our heads in the 1970s and early 80s, That included a lot more then food but all sorts of other things just for myself and siblings, I do wonder just how many are really in such a predicament. The gap has got wider but what's more important? A smartphone or a healthy diet meal? Unless you experience it, there seems to be another episode of jumping on the bandwagon by those who have never experienced going without or those close to you going without. |
