| Most of South Ealing and Northfields Gridlocked today due to several major roadworks in different locations some of which will run for months. Took 40 mins at 11am to get from Brentford to South Ealing and a further hour to get to a patient appointment at Hammersmith Hospital. But noticed that the Whitestile Road markings do not accommodate the minimum 10 ft access for fire and ambulances. In fact the min 10ft only applies to direct access and not from an angle and does not allow for the sweep of a 24ft x8ft vehicle . That is a serious risk for residents. In fact some of the gaps are not even wide enough for Motor Cycle Paramedics fitted with Panniers. I wonder who is going to be made responsible for any injury , loss or tragedy which sooner or later will occur with such stupid ideas which if that safe would have happened decades ago. |
