Councillors are consulted and the lead member shapes what's implemented, supported by colleagues. According to a professional poll run by Savanta ComRes 59% of Londoners support temporary closures of roads compared with 32% who oppose them. https://www.centreforlondon.org/blog/lockdown-changing-travel/ We are not proposing any road closures in Brentford (though we support the closure of Occupation Lane on the Ealing border). We are merely seeking to eliminate through traffic from residential roads. |
