We have worked hard with the organisers and I must say they are very responsive, having learned their lesson comprehensively from the fiasco in 2017. I cycled up and down a couple of times yesterday and once so far today and can find nothing to complain about, bar some blockages in the cycle lane. As to the meadow, here are the recommendations of the independent ecologist engaged by the council: First cut to be in Spring – ideally before the first week in May Second cut to be in mid Summer – ideally late July – August Third cut to be in Autumn – ideally in October The re-seeding would be recommended to be completed in Autumn, allowing the seeds to set properly and remain un-disturbed by any Junction 2 festivals that take place in the summer. The recommendations have been guided by the following website… https://wildseed.co.uk/page/management-of-meadows-and-grassland |
