Reference one of Guy's comments. Yes, I had heard of the remarks made by the ecologist but I was told that he had recommended the meadow be cut earlier than it has been in order to stimulate new growth later in the year. ie, they have carried it out too late in the year. I have made no mention of the noise of the concerts; what is upsetting me is the damage to the park and its wildlife inhabitants. For we humans, too much of our park is inaccessible for too long a period of time. In a previous posting, I suggested that if this event has to happen, why not make it later in the year when the flowers in the meadow will be dying down and young wildlife will have 'flown the nest'. We do realise it is all about money for the Council coffers. |
