Thanks Adam. I presume it's up to the developers to propose how to put things right. It's worth noting that there are now two (or three, but two seem to be identical) planning applications in progress. They were all lodged on 31 May. Two of them are called P/2016/2521 00607/367/L3 (I think it's just a duplication on the planning system) and as far as I can tell deal with the demolition and rebuilding of the roof and two walls allegedly in poor repair (they certainly are now, especially the roof!) Mike Paterson's London Historians Blog refers to the destruction of the roof including some apparently unrestorable features but to my way of thinking it may be Hobson's choice to accept this with suitable safeguards. The other planning application is P/2016/2349 00607/367/L2 which seems to be a repeat (no doubt modified) of the rejected Feb application to create 3 rather than one dwelling. I objected to that in February as did Myra Savin and many others and I see no reason why it has now become more acceptable so those with an interest read and if you agree, object. Because I'm now on the planning committee it's probably inappropriate for me to express firm opinions before any hearing. |
