Some 8-10 years ago Brentonians were able to browse a unique Brentford website organised by a Mr Peter Ruff. Not only did he upload dozens and dozens of fine local pictures but he had a strong following of readers and contributors. From far and wide readers sent to him their stories... their memories about their workplace, their local shops and names of local folk. His website disappeared sadly and the reasons are not known ...although I believe a relation of Mr Ruff lives/lived on the Haverfield Estate. The "All about Brentford" facebook page is doing something similar and so too the Francis Frith "Memories" webpages.
