I'm sure many will be familiar with Celia Cotton's huge Brentford website with it's pictures, and very detailed historical information about Brentford High Street and adjoining areas. http://www.bhsproject.co.uk Many will recall Ranton's factory in Commerce Road... backing onto the Canal. They produced all manner of electrical plugs and accessories.  Have a look at Celia's Website sometime on this subject. Diane Lockie supplied some photos of the Ranton building to the BHS website.
