Still quite shocked by some of the posts on this thread. Anyone who has posted suggesting a connection between affordable/social housing and high crime rates cannot ever complain about any TW8 address being marketed as Kew Bridge, because that would be total hypocrisy (yet how quickly people have jumped on me in the past for generally slagging off Brentford by saying that the town shouldn't ever try to be something it will never be). Teachers, doctors, nurses and Council employees are all entitled to affordable/social housing. The 'certain types of families' grouping have always existed and always lived somewhere, as has social/affordable housing, albeit by a different name. The tragic recent events appear to be the result of one individual's actions. Unless you all know much more than I do, none of us know anything about that individual. Yet you are already pointing the finger of blame at a specific group of residents. Shameful. |
