But most of your post I couldn’t follow

Your last paragraph about the amount of people living out of a bucket in there own home shouldn’t be happening in this borough, if people are living like this then that have no one to looking out for them or speaking up for them and have settled for what they think is the norm.

I know what was available at one time in Hounslow, although all funding was pulled from the section a few years ago,  but reinstated when Ann King got involved to get the funding back. But there was help for adaptations of disabled and terminally ill home owners from the council itself  in the way of stair lifts, wet rooms, wheel chair ramps, grab rials ect.

Yes the work is normally carried out with the owner in resident's, as the majority are not affected by the work being carried out, although some with respiratory problems would have to be catered for.

I can only say there must have been a shed load of very complicated issues in the case you have hi-lighted and not just a simple home owner asking for help with home adaptation.

I must point out I am speaking about a normal freeholder, not a council Tenant or leaseholder, who would of course come under the remit of Hounslow Homes for adoptions to their home  
 
Maybe  an ex or current councillor could confirm that home adaptation funding is still available or has been done away with in the last few years
