Well its seems to be a bit of a navel gazing thread and interesting from all side's as they say a week in politics is a long time, I was a bit chuffed to see the RT take up the issue of the uniform grant cut but I am sure we will see much more in terms of harm to front line services and community services with the way in which the Tories seem to think that poorest in Hounslow should not recieve help, "bring back the work house" will be Thompson's battle cry. Phil did chat about his position on the cuts in my thread, as stated it will be interesting to see what happens at the budget meeting in March my money would be on the ICG being given some room for posturing i.e. Allowed to vote to show that they don’t fully agree to the budget but enough to carry the budget and save face, I also hope Nisar Malik will get seat and is John going to stand against his old rival or head to Scotland for a well earned retirement and is this year’s election going to make better watching than Eastenders, will Mr Bowen and wife be able to rally the English with his use of Flags, will the Tories admit that there have been Asian Mayors in the past and at least put up one picture of an Asian Mayor on the staircase instead of the litany of white old crusties from the past. May be we could get Denis Waterman to sing the theme tune to this series. |
