| The simple truth of the matter is that the Tories are not going to get a majority of seats. I defy anybody to tell me where they are likely to pick up the extra seven seats they need. Their only (outside) chance is if their national poll ratings improve significantly between now and next May. (They are currently on 40% - which is what they were on when the London boroughs were last contested in May 2006). Barring that eventuality, a Tory overall majority remains - for them - a pipe dream. |
