Amongst the many people present was Ian Moore CBE an ex-Commanding Officer of the Royal Marines,(Commando Training Centre)and a distinguished resident of Brentford. Here he is before the Parade started at the assembly point behind the Magistrates Court Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
This, for me, was a memorable moment as the soldiers marched up Boston Manor Road with Colonel Ian Moore CBE, in green beret, bellowing “left, right, left, right” adding power and momentum to the forward progress. Ahead was the gathering at Brentford Library.
Brentford’s distinguished resident ex-Colonel Ian Moore to the left..and the Mayor Cllr Paul Lynch to the right. Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
At the end of the Memorial Event, everyone present had been invited to the Inverness Club next door for refreshments (well done Kevin) Here Col.Ian Moore has been speaking with 88 year old Brentford resident William..and its an opportunity to see Ian's the CBE medal. Many fine residents in our midst. Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
It was a wonderful event and so well organised...at every point...to honour our War heroes.
