Sorry I didn't reply earlier but I have just got back from holiday. The re-dedication ceremony will indeed be grand with the Mayor and Mayoress attending as well as relatives of one of the names on the memorial.  We also have some fusiliers from Hounslow Barracks (most of the men from the barracks are of course in Afghanistan), the British Legion, musicians from Kneller Hall, local cadets, scouts and guides etc and of course the local residents who have all shown an incredible amount of support for the project. In respect of the breeze blocks etc, the memorial will be in keeping with the original monument as required by the Planning Department and National War Memorials Trust.  It should however look much cleaner and brighter.  I know I am really looking forward to seeing it.
