"The present Duke, son number 2, spends his time in Alnwick" and enjoying his estates thereabouts, salmon-fishing in the River North Tyne emerging from Kielder Water, according to one of his tenant farmers whose sheep farm (and B&B)  overlooked the river. It's not quite the same as salmon-fishing in the Thames at Syon.
