| Jim You must be even more insomniac than me! Ineresting map of key sightlines. The Meridian of course is not the Greenwich meridian. I was always puzzled why the ferries operated so cheaply. The market could have borne slightly more in summer, since those who want to cross, want to cross. Amazing that the rights cost £6,000 that many years ago when £6,000 was a really substantial sum (after all my starting salary in 1971 was £1,075 per year!). I noticed your post about Kew Gardens waking up to the airplane issue rather late. Curious indeed as its the current northern runway flightpath that causes the endless convoy oer Kew Gardens, the 3rd runway flightpath will be slightly further north. Anyway, let's hope no 3rd runway and, I think, no bridge, but bring back the ferry! Dan |
