Dan The Duke did a deal with the hotel owner and English Heritage that a large % of the money the family recieved from leasing the land for the hotel was to go towards the restoration of the house. Some of this work has been done including a complete re-roofing which cost a small fortune. I was lucky enough to be able to go on the roof and see the work. The whole roof has bee re-leaded and the masonery repaired. This land deal is the same arguement that is going on over Boston Manor and Gunnersbury.
