You might perceive that’s what he said but you are dead so perhaps not the most reliable witness. Your nonsense about him saying it but not in the way they edited it might rank as the most stupid thing you’ve said this month. Well done. The fact that there were senior resignations and a full apology from the BBC might give you a clue as to how wrong the programme makers got it. It’s not for anyone to put words together to make it seem like what was said was the truth, no matter how much you’d like it to be that. If there was a defence to what was done don’t you think the BBC would have used it? I don’t expect you’ve ever been a journalist, and judging by your blog that’s probably a good thing. Those who have been can see exactly what happened and the consequences of it. Mad for the BBC being full of Conservatives is irrelevant to what is done by programme makers. Things are put out without going up the Board, as you ought to realise. Your suggestion that supporting the execution of journalists is crass in the extreme, but then you are becoming more vacuous with every passing day. |
