If you make it okay to take drugs and easier to access isn’t it likely that you end up with more people needing treatment? Then you need more tax to pay for that? Where do you draw the line? One thing that’s patently obvious is that it’s impossible to control even currently legal substances. The resources aren’t there and smuggling of alcohol and tobacco still goes on. I think you overestimate how willing a certain element of society is to subscribe to a socialist utopia. The control of borders is the most effective way to deal with all these things. You can bet your bottom dollar the Greens wouldn’t have a clue how to do that. |
