| I no longer vote in the homedistrict as I now vote where my work premises are (I can't be in two places and my business and income viability is more of an issue as so much is in the hands of political influenced policies.) But I don't think my family will be happy though. They all admire his genuine accessibility and dedication but not necessarily all his or Labours methods and decisions and policies. Very disappointed as I think he has blown a sizeable majority. But aligning with the Greens which is a band of well meaning but unpragmatic and a tad removed from real life for most of us is probably going to be his demise. I for one don't like the contrdictory positions he has been involved with but do also admire his accessabliity and general involvement. But he does not really listen and only sees and hears and agrees with his own views and not the will of a majority. Especially on issues which impact people's incomes, daily life and the wider impact. Nor the impact that has had on people in South Ealing and Northfields and vice versa. Being independent and on principle of an out of control Labour group is one thing but siding with a marginal non mainstream group rather foolish and will lose a lot of otherwise solid support. If only Residents could create a non political independent group . |
