| News this morning is that it has taken a Conservative councillor from Chiswick to tell the Labour worthies at the Brentford Area Forum last night, that there is a mechanism to rid themselves of the errant Cllr. Balraj. Why the Labour group couldn't/didn't do this themselves is another question, this is not something secret or new, councillors must attend at least one meeting every six months - or else - there is provision for this in the Local Government Act, which they must have known? So much for the Chief Whip and the Leader then, too busy faffing around with silly 'charges' against Cllr. Lambert presumably? Now there is to be a By-election, but perhaps the Labour group would like to apologise for selecting this useless individual in the first place, and explain their lack of action since it became obvious he was a waste of space. Then they should apologise to the people of Brentford, they truly are a disgrace. |
