| I recall the activities of Alan Sherrins ... a close colleague with Ann Keen and all that. This Forum was very active in times gone by and questions were ducked by Mr Sherrins about his organising Labour Party election material being piggy backed onto the Hounslow Matters magazine distribution. Dodgy. At a by-election count at the old Civic Centre for the Osterley Ward, attendees to told it was forbidden to make phone calls of any sort. I personally saw Mr Sherrins take a phone call (possibly from Mrs Keen enquiring about the results) and having a conversation. I complained to the Returning Officer ... but my issue was ignored. Guy must have been aware of the unsuitable nature of some of the then senior Labour Councillors in safe seats ...yet would have been canvassing the Brentford community to vote Labour and their stronghold. Now, I presume, he's sticking two fingers up at them. So his canvassing activities for Labour was giving bad advice to us all! |
