'Cllr Lambert was a staunch defender of the Hounslow regime while he was part of the decision making process. Now he’s marginalised he’s decided to become a critic.. I wonder why?' The difficulty of being an elected member for any political party is that you will never be able to agree with every policy decision that is taken. Generally, the political group discusses and debates the issues and a vote is taken among the members and that is what they all abide by and support. But, and it is a big but, there will also at some point be an issue that you just cannot go along with. That's where you have to consider the best interests and views of the people who elected you, as opposed to the group position. It's never easy and there are those who would say that your first loyalty is to the party you were elected to represent. I think we all have 'red lines' where we have to to make difficult decisions, and that would seem to be where Guy Lambert has found himself recently. I think the current Labour group is headed up by a dictatorial, jumped up control freak, aided and abetted by others on some sort of power trip, they seem to have forgotten just why they are where they are. When you think that they could and should have tackled the disgraceful situation of the absent councillor Balraj Sarai a long time ago, you wonder how they have the gall to treat Guy Lambert in this fashion, |
