Ealing is covered in banners boasting of no council tax increases for 7 years. They should be had up by the ASA for misleading the public. Parking and visitor Permits up 300% in 4 years and now set to quadruple for multiple households Garden waste charges and a host of other charges and rather discriminatory actions - all imposed without discussion or debate. It works out that the council tax has in reality been hiked by double figure percentages for ordinary homes. It is truly cynical and assumes that all householders in CPZs or have gardens are wealthy. They messed up their refuse and recycling big time and got themselves into a very poor contract. Yet the cabinet system leave the culprits answerable to no-one. I really hope LBH take stock and realise that their services are nowhere near as bad and do not go down the road of utter discrimination of the chip on the shoulder mentality that pervades in Ealing. Common sense and community involvement needs to come first in getting the best goodwill and participation from all residents. |
