Hi Philippa. The best photograph was the one at Homebase which I took just after the van had dumped all the local freebie newspapers, instead of delivering them. You will be pleased to hear that they dumped them in the paper recycling bin, but the headline that week was 'we have been abandoned' .... ;) The other photographs show the dumping around the skips causing the stores an amazing amount of issues and resulting in them asking for the waste sites to be removed. People did ask for the cctv camera to be deployed but it fell on deaf ears. I personally think the containers should be on council land and fenced off with cameras to stop dumping and maybe even being closed overnight. I used and needed the cardboard recycling especially. At the moment any cardboard that doesn't fit in the green box is taken by the dustmen. You are welcome to the photos I shall look them out when I ge a minute. Can you pm me so I have your email address. Cheers |
