| Thank you John that doesn't seem like a bad idea although it is Hounslow Homes and I remember the saga when I wanted a skip! That produced enough paperwork to file an encylopaedia - quite unbelievable but, thank you all for your comments. However, my real anger is directed against the police who, when faced with a crime and a victim and a suspect and evidence of previous, feel there is nothing worth doing. What exactly are they there for? Surely the signal this sends out is that someone has carte blanche to vandalise any car they do not definitely recognise as belonging to a resident. I totally accept I could be wrong and it may not be the person I suspect but I can't see what harm a knock on the door would have done and it may have put a stop to this problem. I doubt any of the previous incidents were reported to the police, I did not report the wheel nut incident and frankly I thought the threatening notes (although I was furious about the one on my car) were pathetic but this was a step too far. Grace was really distressed and paranoid that there was a possibility of further interference with brakes or the engine not to mention the cost of 2 new tyres and all the police can say is "see if it happens again". Brilliant! |
