| I agree to some extent Adam. There appears to be no admission within the Labour Party that they have got it horribly wrong, so there is no possibility of them changing enough to make voting labour a less nauseating proposition. That leaves disenfranchised Labour Supporters like me with no real positive options (at least in the Euro election I could happily vote UKIP)and yet again I will be voting negatively - for the least bad option rather than the best. The failure of the Labour Party is not down to the Keens and the expenses scandal is not exclusive to Labour MPs. Labour has failed its electorate massively on a huge number of fronts - economic, social, cultural and political. It has forsaken its political philosophy for short-term opportunism imposing increasingly authoritarian "Big Brother" measures to satisfy its corporate masters and in doing so has betrayed its origins, its supporters and the country. A huge swathe of disillusioned ex-Labour voters are crying out for a realistic alternative but where is it? |
