Bernadette I'm sure you speak for very, very many decent Labour voters but I feel you, and they, have become a victim of the arrogance of the party you have traditionally supported. I feel Robin's attitude typifies that of the party today - this is the candidate we have chosen, it's none of your business, and if you criticise you are either a Tory or a fascist. If it suits us to say so you can be both. Even as somebody who is not a traditional Labour voter (although I voted for them once, in 1986) I feel it is tragic watching this party tearing itself apart in this way - impervious to advice, utterly oblivious to its own shortcomings and blaming the rest of the world for its own demise. When an organisation reaches the end of its natural it finishes up with the likes of Ann Keen, Robin Taylor and Dan the Liar. Let's home something fresh and positive emerges from the ashes. |
