That's the problem though isn't it ?. If the Keens stand down and someone else stands at the next local election as a Labour candidate, so much energy and criticism has been directed at the Keens as individuals that the average person in the Borough will probably still vote Labour. I just don't see what Mary McLeod etc. are doing that would make a Labour voter switch political allegiance. Were I politically motivated to ensure any Labour candidate isn't successful in the Borough at the next elections, I'd be taking a serious step back from going on and on about criticising the Keens and concentrating on trying to display the positives of voting for another party. But I genuinely believe the 'non-red' activists within the Borough have lost sight of that. |
