"Is this an acceptable way of raising funds to invest in the park's listed buildings?" To me, 4.5 acres of green land is infinitely more important to our community than renovating listed buildings. No amount of money is worth losing more of our green heritage. As to the 40-60 new houses. Brentford is already seriously overcrowded and our public services under increasing strain - every square inch seems to be sprouting new housing, without the social infrastructure to support it. Enough is enough! We need our green spaces. I would rather the listed buildings were demolished and grassed over than lose even more green space to concrete. |
