| I'm not on the Gunnersbury Regeneration Panel but I am interested in the Park having had a long association with it through my former profession. I sat in on the last couple of meetings including JURA's interim presentation. It was made quite clear that it was an INTERIM presentation, I imagine for the consultants to get some feedback as from Members to check they were on the right track. Before they concluded. Personally I think some of the ideas they proposed for the regeneration of the Park were dynamic and exciting. JURA will make a final presentation in a matter of weeks: it will then be up to the Members representing both Boroughs to reach a decision. I believe THAT is what Members are for. As regards HPH that IS a sad story: since the property was sold there has been virtually no maintainance work carried out. It is a sad case of both parties, owners and Council not connecting. The old building still has some grandeur but much of the interior plasterwork is gone: saving the remainder will take a huge amount of money. |
