I totally agree with you. I think i would be entitled to a disabled badge because my daughter has disabilities but as our disabilities do not involve any problems in diffulties walking, i will not take advantage of the system. i totally understand that the point of this issue (blue Badge)is that it's for nearer parking rather than the issue of having to pay. At my meeting the other day with the NHS and Ecovertfm, they had expressed an option that would begin charging Blue badge holders, we also talked about another car park for blue badge holders, The problems we found with this is that blue badge holders need the nearest point of access to the location as well as we did not want to make disabled people feel any different to others, in such a way. My main woory now is that it appears that the hospital will begin charging blue badge holders the same as everyone else and these prices will rise with the rate of inflation and become even higher. i hope i have made my point clear and that it is not my intention to offend anyone. |
