Jean - I have very wide experience of hospitals both here and abroad, but I don't share such private family matters with complete strangers on a forum. However, I can say that in an emergency the ambulance service has taken about 7 minutes. In certain counties abroad, you have to take along your own bedding and you have to make arrangements for your own food. Also my experience re relatives visiting is similar to Bernadettes - hospitals necessarily have to take quite a lenient approach with visitors, and I am in favour of families being allowed to be together at bad times if that is in their culture. But back to the original point: my question was who do you think should pay for these services to be free? |
