| I have just read your weekly blog in which you say quite rightly that the borough is headed into economic meltdown. You then go on to champion the closing of roads used by residents and businesses alike. Do you not see that by closing these roads you are restricting the free movement of goods and people and therefore restricting our business communities efforts to survive. You talk about your councils recovery plan. I cant wait to see how we recover while our access to movement by motor vehicle is restricted by road blocks. Have you considered that your anti vehicle stance is going to cost many of the residents you and your party claim to represent their jobs and livelihoods and in doing so destroy families by casting them onto benefits. I would ask you and your colleagues to sit down and think seriously about what you are doing instead of behaving like lemmings following other boroughs over the cliff. |
