| The problem is that Swyncombe has become the defacto "rat run" for everyone, from morning 2hrs of idling traffic (never had that before) to speeding drivers during the day/night who want to make up the time lost going around the LTNs.. As the OP said no one obeys 20mph there.... IMHO Its a direct cause-n-effect from traffic displaced by LTN21.. Its not the schools, they've been here a while, traffic has increased massively all day.. I sometimes think its busier than Northfields at times (again its a single rat-run) Interestingly when Swyncombe is chocca-block Boston Manor Road & Lower Windmill Rd are totally free flowing (green on google maps) ironically these are the A/B distributor roads for the area, whereas Swyncombe is a residential unclassified street not designed for busses/large vehicles etc.. Strange world we live in, but Im 150% sure LTN21 is to blame, not the roadworks or the schools.. (IMHO anyway) |
