Hi Anne, apologies, I had no direction pole! The bit of land in question that will be "protected" is the open land at the eastern end of the estate. This is the "Point" where the River Brent joins the Thames, immediately south of Ferry Quays. There will be no gates at the end of Dock Road. The gates would be further east and they would prevent the public from walking up to the point (or "the spit").The walk beside the Thames parallel to the footpath on the Kew side would also be closed to the public. I don't know about the shopkeeper on the Dock. I'm not sure how reliant the shop would be on "passing trade" from those who are not Dock residents. |
