Seems they have had people turning up and lighting barbecues and drinking and leaving litter Happening elsewhere in parks and unfortunately, in very small back gardens. We are blighted by partying and barbecue smoke every day the sun shines. There's nothing we or other cheesed of neighbours can do, so we have to spend hours shut indoors with windows sealed or come home to find the smoke and smells have permeated via the vents and end up washing all the bed linen and any soft furnishings or clothes. It's really annoying so I have sympathy with those who live in the dock when it's not even neighbours doing these things. But if it's OK for residents to do so then is it not double standards? That also affects other residents. But it's not a gated development, never was so surely clear and polite signs and a bit of enforcement would be sufficient. But right now I wish we had stricter rules for the selfish acts of some residents in smaller houses who think they are the only ones who matter. BBQs should be at least 5metres from any door window or vent in line with fire safety advice |
