Interesting (I think!) story about how the lockdown is in Paris. I have a friend - woman in her sixties - locked down in Montparnasse. Last week she went out for her daily exercise and shop. She had filled in her self-policing form ticking the boxes 'exercise' and 'shopping'. She saw a woman in her 80's being stopped by the cops so crossed the road to try to avoid them. Policewoman intercepted her: 'Papers!' She handed them over. You have ticked two boxes, exercise and shopping. That is contrary to the rules. That's because I combine my exercise with shopping - I walk to the shops. That is contrary to the rules and you must pay a fine of €130. But, but, but. Do not argue with the law or you will be subject to heavier penalties. |
