Lets not detract from the spirit of this thread which is about the celebration of the ICG’s work for the community over 20 years. To reiterate an older post – the ICG took on board issues for the residents it served, which Labour and Conservatives ran a mile from. The ICG succeeded despite the taunts and jeers from Labour. The Lib Dems from across the border in Twickenham also stepped in and came to the assistance of Hounslow residents because the failings of Labour in Hounslow were affecting the people of Twickenham, Whitton & St Margaret’s too. “Congratulations and well done for all the hard work. The tenacity of the ICG certainly paid dividends to residents they represented. It is time to reflect upon this. Last night my daughter, who was only 8 years old at the time Phil Andrews co-founded MRAG, asked me to guide her through a dilemma. Should she buy a car or travel South East Asia for 3 months with the damages paid to her after MRAG successfully won the High Court case against Thames Water after decades of mismanagement and negligence at Mogden, which main party Councilors refused to acknowledge before MRAG was founded. This was truly a case of Community Action steered forcefully by the ICG. Well done to all at the ICG.” = |
