I agree. We had water butts at my home when Iwas a child and my uncle who was a hill farmer had them too but used them for reasons I will not repeat on a family website. I visited the Heston Action Group this week. They have a few spare ones that they have persuaded shopkeepers to put on their front area, plus they have a garden in a park area where they have persuaded surrounding householders to run water off their shed roofs etc https://www.hestonactiongroup.co.uk/hag-projects I tried to get something going underneath the M4 in Brentford but didn't get anywhere.
