There is a lot more driving the wrong side of traffic islands to avoid queueing but I think that that is just bad driving, an overinflated sense of importance, lawlessness and lack of consideration for others. People walk straight at you on pavements, walk through doors you hold open for them without saying thank you and just don't queue or take turns in shops or anywhere else if they can help it. A distinct lack of manners.
I would love to hear more about the water butts uptake in specific areas. Universities have trialled doing this and succeeded in reducing water usage. This water can be used in gardens and saves using water treated to drinking standard for this.
The sudden increased and heavy downpours of rain that we are now getting can be slowed down hitting the combined sewage and rainwater system that we have in so much of London. It would be better and easier if they were separate! |
